This is that reminder that I send out every year, since we live and work in southern California, have you started to get somewhat prepared? If not, well it is never too late (well ?) and now is just as good a time as any to get started. Have you considered getting an Emergency Kit for your vehicle as well as for the other members in your family vehicles as well?
This is highly recommended because you never know where you will be if something were to happen. A small emergency kit in your vehicle will give you piece of mind and if those you care about have them also, this also helps you with additional piece of mind. These emergency kits can be found on line or at some local specialty stores. We received a basic starter kit here at NGC a few years back that was put together by the American Red Cross. We were suppose to build upon that kit; this was just a starter kit with just some basics in it. (Remember food items in this kit need to be rotated out and replaced every 5 years or so).
If you have already started doing this, great, you may also want to consider buying an emergency kit for that friend that you just can’t think of what to get at the end of the year; these kits makes a great gifts. Below are just a few links at some reasonable places to look at, Costco & Quake/Kare, you can also just search the web for them as well, but you need to start thinking about getting ready and have a plan. Quake/Kare is located at 11969 Challenger Ct. Moorpark, CA. 93021, kind of a drive for most, but it too is a good place to start. The prices are reasonable, quality is average.
